Thanks to those that supported us on Sunday. I am sure that they were not disappointed by the effort the lads put in against the top of the table team Glenwood. The score line is not a true reflection of the game as we could have scored more but for the heroics of their keeper and some extremely dubious calls from the referee, who I have to say, did not do a very good job of controlling the game.
Let’s not forget the absolute marvellous effort that Sean Copeland our keeper put in and the terrific saves he made and kept us in the game.
The lads really dug in deep and their were many outstanding passages of play orchestrated by our midfield led by Wazza and supported by Shuan, Brad, Dion, John ( who scored a great goal) who all stepped up to the plate and gave it their all.
Upfront Eddy and Perry kept up the pressure and but for their keeper the score could have been very embarrassing for them. Perry is playing extremely well at the moment and we hope he keeps it up. The goals and quality of his game is absolutely brilliant and he is certainly leading upfront.
In defence we have an absolute marvellous group who are supporting each other and is currently one of the best in the competition. Led by Kedo and supported by Darryl, Tony, Ritchie, Brad and Dion. They plug away tirelessly and Kedo even managed to chip in with a goal.
All said, it was a great performance from the guys and a good bounce back from the hic-cup on Friday night that we won’t mention too much but will take heed. It’s very hard to single out individual performances as everybody is playing well above average and digging in deep for the team. However it would be remiss of me not to give Sean (keeper) and Perry a high five for great performances on the day.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS AS THE SOCCER IS GREAT!!!
