History of our club
We first joined the Blacktown District Buffers Association (over
35's) in 1997. We play as Minchinbury Buffers. This competition is run on a friday evening at the Bert Saunders Reserve
in Blacktown. The first year of joining, we took out the Allan Costello Shield (pre season tournament) and have gone
on to win this shield 8 times out of the last 11 years. We've maintained our good form over the years, winning the minor
premiership in our first year of joining and 7 times out of the last 11 years. We also took out the treble
in 2002 & 2006 and have won the competition 5 times over the past 6 years. We play our soccer in a gentlemanly and entertaining
manner. Our motto has always been "fair play". We also play in an inter city tournament every year in Sept/Oct with buffer
teams from, Perth, Queensland, Melbourne, Auckland (New Zealand) Durban & Johannesburg (South Africa) & more recently, Toronto
(Canada). The hosts of this years 2009 Inter City tournament are Perth Buffers
